Turn the screw cap clockwise to tighten the cap (the laser is now on). 4.Place bore sight in your rifle’s chamber carefully and close the bolt. 5.To remove - open the bolt if it does not automatically extract, manually remove the unit by tilting the rifle’s barrel upward (always practicing safe firearm practices). 6.Unscrew the back and remove the batteries to turn the bore sight off . Package included 1 X Bore Sight 6 X LR44 batteries

Good quality. Works as intended. I would've minus 1 star because of no on/off switch; however, it was very inexpensive and it was a powerful beam so I give it 5. Just take the batteries off. It's really a one-time use; however, you can pass it along or keep to sight a new optic. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
